About Distal Radius Fracture

This is the commonest fracture after fall on outstretched hand. Inability to fix it properly in young patient leads to permanent deformity and wrist pain.

26 year old man had fall on outstretched hand.

Xrays

Xrays revealed lower end radius fracture

Treatment

Fracture was fixed with distal radius plate followed by immobilization for 2 weeks.
