Case

32 year old hair stylist injured right index finger while playing cricket.

Radiographs

Revealed bony mallet finger with fracture of distal phalynx.

Treatment

Treated with ISHIGURO’s Technique of Extension Block Pinning.

The wires are kept for 6 weeks following which splint is given for 2 weeks more. The fracture united and patient has full range.
